Chapel
At St John Fisher, we are fortunate to have a dedicated space – our Chapel. This is currently housed in our temporary building and will relocate to the new school building upon its completion. It is a calm, welcoming place that is the hub for all Chaplaincy activities.

Chaplaincy Team
The Catholic Life of our school is enhanced by the work of our Lay Chaplain, Miss Callaghan and the Chaplaincy Team who are involved in many areas of school life. The Chaplaincy team work very closely with our CLM Ambassadors to plan and organise aspects of our prayer and liturgy in school and support the entire school community – pupils, teaching staff, support staff and their families alike. Although we are a Catholic school, pupils and staff from all faiths, or none, are welcome. They provide opportunities for our community to come together in prayer and reflection; organising masses, retreats and other services such as the Sacrament of Reconciliation, liaising with our parishes and supporting activities including the Confirmation programme and supporting our charitable work.
Chaplaincy Events
As well as the varied opportunities for prayer, liturgy and reflection, there are many activities arranged by the Chaplaincy team and held in the Chapel. From charity events and cake sales, to LGBTQ+, Faith in Action and CLM ambassador meetings, our Chapel is a multi-purpose hive of activity.

Confirmation Programme
We support the Archdiocese in preparing pupils for the Sacrament of Confirmation which is offered in Year 8. We work closely with Animate and local parishes to promote the importance of the Sacrament, facilitate meetings in school and support our pupils on their journey.
Eucharistic Ministers
Each year, some of our Year 10 and 11 pupils are commissioned as Eucharistic Ministers and support the clergy in our school masses.
