What is Early Help?
Early help means providing support as soon as a problem emerges, at any point in a child’s life, from the foundation years through to teenage years. If an early help is appropriate the pastoral team will lead on liaising with other agencies and setting up an inter-agency assessment as appropriate.
The early help involves professionals working with families to identify strengths and areas that they may need to develop and ways to overcome issues that could impact a young person's education.
Any such cases should be under constant review, creating actions, and ensuring that these actions are met to support the family and the pupil.
