St John Fisher School works with Wigan Careers Service to provide impartial information, advice and guidance to help young people make informed choices about their future education, training and work.

The Careers Advisers help identify options for suitable careers, build CVs, help students prepare for interview and where to look for jobs, as well as advise on college applications.

Our adviser is Sharon O’Hara Moore who is based in the Careers Office on the top floor every Tuesday and Wednesday.

All Year 11 students will have two one-to-one interviews with their Careers Adviser throughout the academic year. Students can also drop into the Careers Office during lunches and break times when the adviser is in school. The Careers Adviser is also available at Parents’ Evenings and our Options Guidance Evenings during the academic year.

If any parents would like to speak to the Careers Adviser regarding their child’s education, please contact the school directly, alternatively email sharon.oharamoore@wigan.gov.uk who will respond as soon as possible.
