St John Fisher School works with Wigan Aspiring Futures to provide impartial information, advice and guidance to help young people make informed choices about their future education, training and work.

The Careers Adviser helps identify options for suitable careers, build CVs, help students prepare for interview and where to look for apprenticeships, as well as advise on college applications.

Our adviser is Sarah Gregory who is based in the Careers Office on the top floor facing Room 2.11 every Wednesday and Thursday.

All Year 11 students will have, at least, one one-to-one interview with their Careers Adviser throughout the academic year. Students can also drop into the Careers Office during lunches and break times when the adviser is in school. Students throughout all year groups may request a meeting at any time. The Careers Adviser is also available at Parents’ Evenings and our Options Guidance Evenings during the academic year.
