The Mathematics Department offers a range of enrichment opportunities for students.

• Visits to local schools and universities for mathematics workshops and lectures.
• Participation in World Maths Day activities on 14 March.
• Extra-curricular maths clubs including Warhammer, Chess, Dungeons and Dragons, and STEM club.
• Pupils in Year 9 are offered the opportunity to attend Maths LIVE! Conference at Disneyland Paris.
• Most able learners in Year 10 are offered an additional GCSE in Statistics.
• Most able learners in Year 11 are offered an additional Level 2 certificate in Further Mathematics.
• Pupils at KS3 can participate in the UKMT group Maths Challenge.
• Pupils at KS4 have the opportunity to take part in the Stock Market Challenge at The University of Manchester as well as the St John Rigby College Maths Challenge.

We are always on the lookout for additional opportunities to enrich our pupils’ mathematical learning.
